"After over two decades of  severe back pain that couldn't be explained by by traditional (or even alternative) medicine, I went to Colin... My kids are thrilled that I can now freely play with them physically for the first time in their lives.  I’ve even tried out my son’s new snow skate with the confidence that when I face planted, I wouldn’t be laid up for three months."

Want to get your body feeling good again?

Bodywork, Structural Integration, Therapeutic Flexibility Training

The body is a complex web of connective tissue, muslces, fluids and more which are supposed to exist in a state of relative balance and equilibrium. This state is called homeostasis.

However, impact trauma, repetitive stress, postural habits and yes, even emotional events, can cause long term changes in these tissues giving rise to all manner of tension, postural mis-alignment, pain and dis-ease.

If left unchecked and uncorrected, the body will begin to assume that the new alignment is "normal" and continue it's growth and renewal using the new pattern of disfunction as it's blueprint.

As this happens, muscles begin to shorten and become "glued" to the surrounding tissues, movement becomes less fluid, posture starts to lapse, and in this unbalanced state, gravity's constant downward pull will exagerate these problems until eventually the natural balance and equilibrium which once existed will have disappeared to be replaced with a sense of constant tension and even pain that no amount of rest or exercise will change.

Having done structural bodywork for over a decade now, Colin has helped hundreds of people achieve lasting relief from pain, tension, and structural imbalance brought on from physical trauma and chronic stress.

Starting in 1997 working in a chiropractic clinic, and eventually moving into private practice, Colin has developed a considerable background in working with clients with problems ranging from whiplash, disc problems, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, lower back problems as well as athletes, dancers, and everyday people looking to rid themselves of the chronic tension and the little aches and pains that seem to build up in our ongoing battle with gravity. With skill, empathetic touch, and understanding, Colin teaches clients how to unravel the knots and patterns of tension which can rob even the strongest person of his/her ability to rejuvenate and live life to the fullest.
